PDC Charity Game

Every March when Major League Baseball returns to Peoria Sports Complex the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres commit themselves to preparation for a new season. What you may not know is that they also commit themselves to supporting the youth of Peoria, AZ and its surrounding communities. Through a special partnership with the Mariners, Padres, and City of Peoria the Peoria Diamond Club is proud to host the annual “Charity Game”.

Generally the opening day of spring training, the Mariners and Padres kickoff their seasons by squaring off against one another in the annual “Charity Game” and donating 100% of ticket sales, program sales and parking lot revenue, as well as a large portion of the concession and merchandise proceeds to the Peoria Diamond Club. In turn, the PDC distributes this money to a variety of deserving charities in the Northwest Valley, all of which focus on enriching the lives of children. The Peoria Diamond Club Charity Game, along with other events at the sports complex, has allowed the PDC to distribute nearly $1,000,000 in grants over the past 17 years.

In an effort to enhance the experience of the “Charity Game” the PDC seeks to involve local businesses, big and small, from the Peoria community and surrounding areas through sponsorship opportunities. If you or your organization is interested in supporting the youth of our community and gaining the exposure afforded by being showcased at a Major League Baseball Spring Training game, then a Peoria Diamond Club Charity Game sponsorship may be right for you.
